Alpacas, gentle creatures native to the South American Andes and close relatives of llamas, have been cherished for their luxurious wool since the time of the Inca civilization. Historically reserved for royalty and deemed the “fiber of the Gods,” alpaca wool was once considered more valuable than silver and gold.

We source our alpaca fleece from animals raised at elevations of 15,000 feet above sea level, ensuring fibers that are finer, softer, and stronger. This high-quality wool imparts a unique and sumptuous feel to our rugs. Moreover, alpaca fibers are lanolin-free, making our rugs hypoallergenic and exceptionally soft to the touch.
